I am responsible for Ekman’s sustainability work. This includes analyzing sustainability issues, interpreting regulations and trends, and translating them into strategy and action. I am also responsible for the Group’s sustainability reporting and for ensuring our agenda aligns with the expectations of our stakeholders. A large part of my work is also about building structures, creating clarity, and supporting different parts of the business in various sustainability-related matters.
What I appreciate most about working at Ekman is definitely the level of autonomy and responsibility you’re given. You’re trusted to take ownership, which makes the work both more challenging and more rewarding. I also appreciate the global aspect of the business and the exposure that comes with it.
Going forward, I want to continue developing my sustainability knowledge alongside our growing business portfolio. My goal is to ensure we stay ahead of new developments and continue to manage sustainability-related risks and opportunities in a strategically relevant way.
Outside of work, my partner and I are currently renovating our turn-of-the-century house. It is a big project so our evenings and weekends are usually spent with a hammer or a paintbrush in hand. Although it is sometimes a bit overwhelming, it is really rewarding to bring the house back to life.
